Carlo Diego D'AndreaDoing my best to make the world a better place where to do business. I like to see and describe myself as a future facilitator: as a lawyer, I try to create a positive knowledge of the living and working environment, to help people and companies exploring new businesses in new countries; as Chairman of the Board of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China - Shanghai Chapter, I do my best to promote mutual cooperation between China and Europe, as well as a personal and professional common background for our relationships and businesses. As a serial entrepreneur, I share with my partners, employees and clients the vision of great projects for both Chinese companies abroad and international companies coming to China. As a lecturer, I will never stop believing in giving back the chances life offered me, by creating more and more opportunities for both Chinese and international students to be successful, everywhere they are.

I am a hard-working man because I love what I do. Since I started my career as a lawyer, I have always been interested in internationalization and, after landing in China in 2005, this idea has become stronger and stronger. “Always be ready” are the words that best describe my approach. The aforementioned phrase means many things to me: to study a lot and continuously, to always be curious and never superficial, to build my own environment, no matter where I am, with people that share my conception of values, integrity, honesty and excellence. Every challenge is for me an opportunity, and this attitude has always enabled me to reach important goals since I was a young professional. This is what I aim to share and improve every day with my partners, my colleagues and my clients.read more
What I do
Writing is the best way to improve myself and to share knowledge with other people. For this reason, I never stop updating my archive and writing news on websites and magazines, as well as publications and my own books.
Speaker and Moderator
Experience and knowledge are useful only if you can share them. That’s why, part of my activities includes attending events to deliver speeches about investments, business and internationalization. If you are organizing an event, a seminar, or a lecture, both in China and Italy, I am always available to give useful tips and to share case histories and best practices.
Attorney at law. This is what I am and what I have been doing during my entire career. I have been leading my own international boutique law and consulting firm starting from a few years ago and, together with my great team, we provide legal consultancy to international companies, in China as well as wherever the market is booming.
Guides and Books
Among the various publications I am particularly proud of it is worth mentioning the two guides I published in 2016: FTZ Free Trade Zones in China and IPR Intellectual Property Rights in China, both available in Italian and English languages and also both in printed and e-book versions.
Since 2010, I’ve been constantly cooperating with online and printed international magazines for columns, interviews and editorials. Some of the magazines I collaborate with are: EUROBiz, The Gavel, Nanjing Focus, AF magazine, Jiangsu TV.
Online communication in China is definitely powerful, more than anywhere else in the world. Therefore, I write news and articles for many blogs and online portals, such as VIVIShanghai and The Nanjinger.
Events and Seminars
In my career, I had the honor to perform as Visiting Professor in some of the most important Chinese Universities; among them, the Koguan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Moreover, I am currently holding a course on Italian Civil and Commercial Law at the Nanjing Normal University School of Law
China as well as India and Vietnam are countries that attract many investors and capture the attention of different entrepreneurs. Therefore, I frequently attend as a speaker many events dedicated to the hot topics of local business. My contributions are mainly served in English and Italian and are focused on Intellectual Property, Investments, Free Trade Zone and Legal issues
Apart from speeches, I am often invited as a moderator of seminars, to share my long and wide experience in many business fields. Some examples include: work safety in China, online publishing in the PRC and contracts in China.
Attorney at Law
Together with D'Andrea & Partners’ team I am close to my clients, to provide them with professional assistance on different matters, such as contracts, Intellectual Property, Family Law, Environmental Law, Labor Law, Litigation and Arbitration and many other topics.
We all live in a world of business; my firm’s international pool of consultants and I help entrepreneurs and managers in successfully leading companies and offering services which range from investments to HR and labor, from commercial contracts to business meetings and networks.
FDI Foreign Direct Investments and M&A Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity and many other ways to invest in a foreign country are some of the issues which I offer professional consultancy on, for those companies which want to reach new goals, open new markets and channels in order to create new inspiring opportunities for themselves.
Big markets and amazing business opportunities can be found everywhere, from vastly huge China to continuously expanding India and Vietnam, from enormous Russia to the country which represents excellence: Italy. This is the reason why I support transnational corporations as well as SME, by providing consultancy related to contracts, HR & Labor, Investments, IP, Compliance and many others.
